Organized by the AFC and BFF, and through the tireless efforts of Shams-ul-Huda Football Academy in Jessore, Grassroots Football Day was celebrated on May 23 with great enthusiasm. The vibrant event took place at Shams-ul-Huda Football Academy, located in Hamidpur, Jessore, with the participation of more than 500 young footballers aged between 8 and 14 from around 15 football academies of the Khulna division.

H.E. Marcelo Carlos Cesa, Ambassador of Argentina in Bangladesh, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Mr. Tabith Awal, former footballer and President of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), was present as a Special Guest. One of the main highlights of the event was the presence of Mr. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, patron of the academy and Vice President of BFF. Officials from BFF and Shams-ul-Huda Academy were also in attendance.

In their speeches, the guests emphasized the importance of grassroots football in the development of the sport in Bangladesh. The Chief and Special Guests delivered inspiring speeches that energized the young footballers. The guests, coaches, journalists, and distinguished officials praised Shams-ul-Huda Football Academy as a remarkable example of private initiative in football development.

At the conclusion of the event, Shams-ul-Huda Football Academy was officially recognized by BFF as a Two-Star Rated Training Facility.
